'Ice Dive' Apple Vision Pro Immersive Video Now Available

Apple Vision Pro users can watch a new episode of the "Adventure" series starting today, delving into a freezing underwater dive in the Arctic with athlete Ant Williams.

The Ice Dive episode follows Williams as he attempts to shatter the world record for swimming the longest distance under ice with just one breath.

Ice Dive is the third episode in the Adventure series on the Vision Pro headset. The first Adventure episode, Highlining, was one of the first immersive videos that Apple made available when the Vision Pro launched. Parkour, another episode, launched earlier this year.

Apple has been working to bring more 3D videos to the Vision Pro over the last few months. There have been new dinosaur-focused Prehistoric Planet episodes, a new Boundless series exploring extraordinary places, a short film called Submerged, and more music-related content.

I really enjoyed this. The immersive content may be brief for now, but they’re very impactful experiences and show a lot of potential. Excited that more tools for production are now becoming available. Means more content will be on the way.

Holy sh…t. This one was good. I can’t wait until we get an hour or more of these episodes. Apple is definitely headed in the right direction.

Is it really worth it for 10 viewers? o_O
Is it really worth spreading misinformation like this? Weren't 500,000 Vision Pro headsets sold this year?

One thing that really amazes me about the VisionPro:
actually everything around it amazes me

How much energy some people put into absolutely pointless postings and badmouth a product that they don't even want to own...
Imagine how it must feel like when you take you last breath looking back at your live how much useful your contribution to mankind was 🤣

*** Irony off ***

I am typing this wearing my AVP with a 14" MBP and a gorgeous large wide display in front of me - crisp sharp and just not feasible bringing a 7 k wide display with me - even in case a travel 7 k display would exist.

Just watched the new episode and the only word I am thinking of is breathtaking. Apple did it again with total immersion.

My wife is sitting on the sofa reading a Terry Pratchett novel and I am exploring other worlds out of my usual experiences.

I am enjoying my AVP every time I am using it and the virtual display is just one of the many things I really adore. No need to be worried about people missing this experiences - it's a privilege to be alive today and having access to the future now.

I wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a happy new year - enjoying my vacation and having a huge screen with me at almost no effort.
