Apple has given the more personalized version of Siri a "beta" label on internal versions of iOS 27, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In his Power On newsletter over the weekend, Gurman said there is a "strong chance" that the revamped Siri will continue to have a "beta" label in the iOS 27 developer beta next month, and potentially even in the final version released to the public.
The label would inform customers that Apple's long-promised Siri overhaul is essentially unfinished, even after more than two years of development.
Apple first previewed the new Siri capabilities in June 2024. They included understanding of a user's personal context, on-screen awareness, and deeper per-app controls. For example, Apple showed an iPhone user asking Siri about their mother's flight and lunch reservation plans based on info from the Mail and Messages apps.

In March 2025, Apple delayed the launch of the personalized version of Siri, leading to the company being hit with a class action lawsuit alleging false advertising. Apple has since agreed to pay $250 million to settle the lawsuit, and the features are finally expected to launch on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 later this year.
The first iOS 27 developer beta should be available immediately following Apple's WWDC 2026 keynote, which begins on Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. A public beta typically follows in July, and a final release is expected in September.
