Pinnacle Systems, Inc announced that it is acquiring Steinberg Media Technology AG. Steinberg is probably best known for its Cubase SX product which was recently updated for Mac OS X.
Readers will recall that Apple acquired Emagic -- another Mac pro-audio company -- in July. Emagic is the maker of Logic, which subsequently went Mac-only.

Apple today added the MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) to its "vintage" products list, meaning the device is now only eligible for repairs at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers if parts remain available.
