Many Seeing "Error 3200" Trying to Upgrade to iOS 5

by

ios5

A growing thread in our forums reveals many users seeing "Error 3200" while attempting to upgrade to iOS 5. Speculation points to this just being related to Apple's servers being overloaded, and some users are seeing success after multiple attempts.

At this point, simply waiting and retrying seems to be the best solution.

For other issues or problems, see our iOS 5 discussion forum.

Omg so ****** off by this!! They had 16 months to test this! Apple iCloud has no QOS for the updaters? Is there maybe a wrong timeout value somewhere??

Try this, - turn iPhone or iPad on and sync. If you get an error message, drink a beer. Re-try the whole sync process, if it still fails, drink another beer, this time pop open a bag of chips. Try to re-sync. If this continues to fail, keep popping the beers open. Eventually, the sync will work, or you really won't give a crap, fall asleep then retry the update tomorrow when the servers aren't so busy.

Sent from my iPad 2 running iOS 5.

Here is what I did.

Jump up and down for ten seconds. Update worked after 2 tries of getting 3200.

After getting the 3200 error no less than 15 times, mine FINALLY went through. Keep trying guys

After reading your post, my advice would be "Don't keep trying. Wait until later tonight (or tomorrow)."
