Apple Releases Third OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan Beta to Public Beta Testers

Apple today seeded the third beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to public beta testers, just a day after releasing the third beta to developers and two weeks after seeding the first OS X 10.11.2 public beta. Today's update comes three weeks after the public launch of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1.

Those who have signed up to participate in Apple's beta testing program can download the third OS X 10.11.2 beta using the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store. Non beta testers who want to participate can sign up on Apple's beta testing website.

The first two OS X 10.11.2 betas did not appear to offer any obvious outward-facing changes, and the minor .2 update likely includes bug fixes, security enhancements, and performance improvements to address issues discovered since the release of OS X 10.11.1. Apple's release notes for the developer betas asks testers to focus on Graphics, Wi-Fi, Calendar, USB, Notes, Photos, and Spotlight, giving some insight into areas where improvements might be made.

iWork applications received updates as well - too bad no one on the Macrumors staff have actually said anything - I guess the iPad Pro is more important than the Mac platform.

Haven't you been reading the front page articles for the past couple of weeks? The iPad Pro is going to be replacing the desktop for a lot of people. No point in writing about them any more. MacRumors content image
I can believe I would ever find myself saying this. The Surface Pro 4 is a laptop replacement. The Surface Pro 4 is what the iPad Pro should be. iOS is stagnating. iOS is great for an iPhone or iPad Mini. Anything larger benefits from a real OS vs an app driven model.

With all the focus on Graphics (wich we have had in every build since probably the first OS X beta) we should have a heck of a driver support, instead.......

Same could be said about Wi-Fi I guess.

I agree but in contrast to those that think differently than some posters, I have a broad view point and find the Apple ecosystem superior to other solutions. Apple's patenting is innovative and their over all engineering is overly ambitious at times, but Apple appears to me to lead much more than they follow.
I basically tune into this forum to see the constructive ideas that some of the posters are excellent at providing. Many great and knowledgeable users are here, but defending my positive outlook on the Apple products over semantical differences and piecemeal topics is what I should avoid. The Big Picture is what counts for me.
And the 'big picture' is that Apple is systematically removing user control and functionality in their OS, as well as eliminating user's ability to upgrade their hardware in the future.
So to me, that 'big' picture' is a future world of dumbed down disposible computers that people are expected to replace every 2-3 years. Not good for our pocketbooks, and not good for the environment.

I'm not sure what about that makes you so optimistic.
