Apple Facing One of Its Worst Leaks Since the iPhone 4

Apple supplier Tata Electronics recently suffered a cyberattack that resulted in thousands of confidential files being published on the dark web, and this reportedly included some photos and documents related to the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro.

We have elected not to share any of the leaked photos in this story due to the illegal nature in which they were obtained, but they can easily be found online.

Given the iPhone 18 Pro is not expected to have any major design changes, the device shown in the leaked photos looks very similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. Still, it amounts to one of the biggest iPhone leaks since a former Apple employee in a California bar accidentally left behind a prototype iPhone 4, which was later shown off by a reporter.

Many details about Apple's future products are accurately rumored in advance, but incidences of Apple or its suppliers having a direct leak of this magnitude are rare. Apple has not publicly commented on the matter, but it has reportedly been taking efforts to have some of the leaked content removed from social media where possible.

In addition to this Tata Electronics cyberattack and the lost iPhone 4, a pair of YouTube channels in Russia obtained the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip and the iPad Pro with the M5 chip before those devices were announced over the past few years, leading to premature unboxing videos that accurately confirmed specs and design details.
