Apple Seeds Second Beta of watchOS 6.2.8 to Developers

Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.2.8 update to developers, one week after releasing the first beta and three weeks after releasing the watchOS 6.2.5 update with new Pride Apple Watch faces.

watchOS 6.2.8 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To install the new software, the ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌.

It's not clear what's included in watchOS 6.2.8, but it likely focuses on under-the-hood performance improvements and bug fixes for issues that weren't able to be addressed in the prior update.

No new features were found in the first beta of watchOS 6.2.8, but we'll update this article should anything new be found in the second beta.

I really enjoyed the previous beta, but this one installed really quick and I feel the scrolling so far is really snappy. Looks like another great one!
Whenever I see that a watchOS update was released, I know you will be on here saying how great it is, without having enough time to test it.
Doesnt matter whether is a public release, or dev beta. 🤔

Ahh cheese, let FishyFish enjoy the update his own way. It’s not harming you.
Nobody is harming anyone. But, I call 'em like I see 'em. 😆

It's a shame that the Apple Watch released in April 2015 (and sold beyond then) has not had an update for years now (since June 2018?), not even the $17000 Editions. I love my Series 4 but would never buy more than a basic version due to the potential to reduce it to a fossil (pun or no pun - you decide) quite quickly.
