Are there any average durations between releases and price drops like these?

Does anyone have the time / interest in going through old MR articles and seeing how long after releases prices drop And by how much?

(would be cool to have a general guideline - “if I wait X months I can save X much on average after release, and I’m going to tell myself that the next time something comes out to avoid the feeling of missing out on these deals”)

Early adopters of Apple silicon I’ll let beta test for me. Software devs won’t ditch support for the tons of Intel Macs out there anytime soon.

If you have a Mac from the last 3-5 years I’d say wait it out for another couple and get a 2nd or 3rd gen ARM if you really are itching for an upgrade. My 2019 will last me for another 5 years easily with my use cases.

The new Intel macs will be fine machines for years to come.
