32GB has its place. I personally use my 6th gen as a reader, couch browser, travel streamer, (+ pencil) for grading papers in a few classes I teach, and for Sidecar with my MBP when I don't want to work at my desk or am traveling. Still have about 1/3 of my storage free–and that's with a bunch of stuff downloaded for offline viewing.

If you need more storage, buy one with more storage. But if it's a secondary device and you don't need to load it up, it's a great price for a great device.

All this whining about storage is comical. Most people never bump up against even a 32GB capacity unless they are storing bloated apps, movies or music. Something almost no one under 35 does in 2020.
I'm 50. A 32GB iPad doesn't give you 32GB of data storage...you probably are left with 25GB at the most when you first unbox and power on your iPad. Throw on a few 3GB movies, take some pix, set up email and iMessage, store 10GB of music and yes, you are quickly maxed out.

I have tried iCloud this month and find it very finicky. It does not store the 100% full quality pix as I request it to. I have no idea what it does to the iPhone 7Plus video quality I store on iCloud. Not to mention, iCoud is not free.

Why is there even a 32GB iPad in 2020?
It should be a minimum of 64 or 128GB.
Lame, just lame.
It is lame.
64Gb should be the standard.
People shouldn't have to pay for anything else like iCloud when all they want is some extra storage.
Just don't mentioned anything negative about Apple or you'll get downvoted like in my previous comment.

This is the one most users should be purchasing. 50GB iCloud drive is only $0.99/mo.
32 GB is not enough for movies on the go, unfortunately.
