Apple Seeds First Betas of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 to Developers

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming iOS 15.1 update to developers just a day after releasing iOS 15 to the public.

General iOS 15
iOS 15.1 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center or over the air after the proper profile has been installed on an iPhone or iPad.

There's no word yet on what's included in the update, but there are a number of features in iOS 15 that have yet to be released, such as SharePlay, so we could see these introduced in the new software for testing purposes. We'll update this article when we download the beta and find out what's new.

Sure would love it if somebody hit the Safari design team with a clue stick.
I for one think they’ve done an EXCELLENT job and deserve kudos!

Me too. Want to be able to restore from an iOS 15 backup rather than have to set up as new, install the profile, update the new phone to 15.1, and then restore from a backup.
Same. Resisting the urge. I swear I end up doing it every year and then am annoyed at myself, so I just went and deleted my beta profile now so that it doesn't tempt me. LOL

Staying out of this beta for now. New phone gets here in a few days (hopefully). Interesting to see if they add the macro camera switch or battery percent. Probably not.

Yes. Yes. Yes. The first year I was smart enough to do the same. Saw the update notification and remembered, No, don’t, that’ll inconvenient Friday.
This feature ('https://9to5mac.com/2021/06/24/ios-15-will-let-users-easily-update-to-a-beta-release-when-restoring-a-device-from-backup/') mentioned by 9to5mac back in June should, in theory, drastically improve that process.
