Following the announcement of the fifth generation iPad Air last week, we're now starting to see a return of low prices on the fourth generation models. Particularly focusing on the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad Air, Amazon has these 2020 models for $499.99 in select colors, down from $599.00.

Colors available at this price include Space Gray, Sky Blue, and Green. Discounts this low have been extremely rare on the fourth gen iPad Air, and the new deal is beating the previous sale by about $40.

You can also save on the 256GB Wi-Fi model, which is priced at $649.99, down from $749.00. This sale price is available in Silver, Space Gray, Rose Gold, and Green. For both deals, coupon codes won't be needed as the sale price has been applied automatically.

I guess you didn't read the story ('https://www.macrumors.com/2022/03/14/m1-ipad-air-benchmarks/') after this one? You know, the one where actual benchmarks say the iPad Air 5 is up to 70% faster than the iPad Air 4? If you can't "see" 70% faster performance, you're doing it wrong. ;)
True, I hadn't read the other article before posting. But answer me this: Will that 70% faster performance really amount to more than just apps opening and executing a couple of seconds quicker? ;)

Apple wants us to believe that the new iPad Air 5 gen spanks Air 4. I'm really not seeing much difference performance wise. I think iPadOS is hampering the device and would love to see it blur the lines between itself and macOS.

what about real world usage? tests done in the lab but when you hold it in your hand it doesn't feel any faster.
