Apple Seeds New tvOS 15.6, watchOS 8.7, and HomePod 15.6 Betas

Alongside iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6, and macOS Monterey 12.5, Apple has also seeded new betas of tvOS 15.6, watchOS 8.7, and HomePod 15.6 to developers for testing purposes.

Apple TV Watch and HomePod Feature2
tvOS 15.6 can be installed by downloading a profile onto the ‌Apple TV‌ using Xcode, while watchOS 8.7 can be downloaded over the air after installing the configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. As for the ‌HomePod‌, the beta software is limited to a select number of testers and it is not widely available to all developers.

At the current time, we do not know of any new features available in the betas, but we will update this article should anything notable be found.

I don't know about others here, but I really wish Apple sold an updated version of the full-sized HomePod.

15.5 seems to have improved things for me (HomePod/Siri/HomeKit), presumably 15.6 will break all that…

Discontinuing Homepod was a tragically bad decision. Funny, these guys have no problem selling $600 wheels for a desktop computer and $400 hinge to raise a monitor 6” but apparently, they can’t sell the best sounding $300 wireless speakers on the market to keep it going. Smh

Apple still has a lot to do to make larger networks eventually work better together (e.g. 6 HomePods and 2 Minis). Currently, I experience daily sobering, even after the last update.

It's unclear to me who Apple uses as testers, but apparently only people with a limited number of devices....

And of course, it's good that the full-szised HomePods are still getting updates. They are incredibly great, but still not perfect in response.

It’s my belief that they use a monkey. If the monkey touch the HP and music is successfully played, he gets a banana as reward. At the end of the day, an engineer counts the eaten bananas. If the number of bananas match the “plays” count, the software version under testing is approved and released.
