If the press release doesn't say "Good Morning Vietnam!" someone should be fired

Huh. Thought they already had their own online store in Vietnam. I guess they didn't. Vietnam has been up and up in the global economy in the last few decades, so this should be very helpful for Apple.

Been in Vietnam 2018, beautiful country btw, and remember that their electronic shops did sell the iPhone X when the XS/ XR launched for a pretty good price.

this is good news.

no physical store yet in vietnam, but with apple operating its own on line store people will be able to experience a more consistent level of support than currently available.

3rd party (Authorised Suppliers) in vietnam have improved.
cambodia, and myanmar 3rd party (Authorised Suppliers) consistently repackage returned merchandise and resell as new with repairs often poorly done.
