Downgrading an iPhone to iOS 17.0.3 is No Longer Possible

Apple has stopped signing iOS 17.0.3, preventing iPhone users from downgrading to that version. However, Apple continues to sign iOS 17.0.2 for now.

Apple routinely stops signing older iOS releases over time in order to prevent users from downgrading to previous software versions.

iOS 17.1 is currently the newest version available to the public, while iOS 17.2 is in beta testing and is expected to be released in December.

iOS 17.2 includes many new features and changes, including the promised Journal app, the ability for Apple Music subscribers to collaborate on playlists, a Translate option for the Action button on iPhone 15 Pro models, an iMessage Contact Key Verification security option, additional Weather and Clock widgets, and more.

Apple also stopped signing iOS 15.7.9, iOS 16.7, and iOS 16.7.1.

Still on ios 15 on my iPhone 13 pro, best decision, tried ios 17 on the iPhone 15 pm, dam the new ios sucks

IMO 17.1 is pretty solid and eligible iphones/ipads should update.

I mean, I’ve seen some glitches here and there… on your opinion, regarding bugs, it’s still buggier than a release such as iOS 16.7? I’m asking because I’m not sure if it’s the right time to update or wait until next year for iOS 17.2 or 17.3
The latest ios 16 release is going to be a smoother experience than the most recent ios 17 release, and what we encounter as far as issues is dependent on the way we use the features. That said, no software is glitch free and a wet finger in the air should guide as far as what Macrumors members are reporting might be a good way to judge whether you want to update or not.

I updated my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max to iOS 16.7

I'm thinking of keeping the iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.x as long as possible...

17.1 is working well for me, too.

But it’s weird that Apple will let you downgrade to 17.0.2 but not 17.0.3.
