That was fast. Must not be selling well hence the discount... or so I've been told by people here on MR when Apple products go on sale.

Pay for a Best Buy Plus ($49.99/yr) or Total ($179.99/yr) membership to save $50 🤣

Just buy it for $1,499.00 from Apple Education store. Sheesh!

This is good to know, every time i asked a BestBuy employee, they told me 2 years then it terminates with no way to go to month. The ability to go to month to month is a tempting.
Actually, this used to be the issue. About a year ago, plans were just expiring with no email prompting me to continue. My iPhone 14, Ultra 1 and MacBook Pro M1 all three prompted me to renew so I think this is a new enhancement.

Here’s what it looks like:

And the link takes you to the plans page and a big “renew” button that bills your card on file monthly (BestBuy bills you, not apple) and I extended one month then cancelled online and didn’t have to call anyone so it’s pretty easy and not a hassle. But if you let it lapse, there’s no adding it back later.

Bestbuy and Amazon undercutting Apple then adding on AppleCare for free (if you’re a member) has convinced me to stop buying anything from Apple except built to order Macs (such as a laptop with more than 1TB of storage).
At least with B&H Photo & Video, you can get BTO Macs, and if you use their affiliated PayBoo credit card, the sales tax gets discounted. No annual fee. Of course, if your sales tax is 6%, for example, and your regular credit card gets 1.5% cash back, then you're effectively netting 4.5%. If you use Apple Card for 3% off on Apple products from Apple, then you save an extra 3% net.

My point is, you can still come out ahead by a bit. I haven't bought a lot from B&H, but I've bought occasionally over the years, and my experience was quite good.

If you purchase often at Best Buy, the memberships are worth it. Especially for large appliances, home theater equipment, other big ticket items.

Maximum of 2 years, paid Monthly by Best Buy so long as you keep your membership with an offer to convert to monthly billed to you via BestBuy.com at the end. When my Ultra 1 was expiring, they informed me 30 days in advance and said $5.99 if I want to continue coverage.
