We have a couple of the Jackery 1000 v2 devices - which FWIW are also on sale. One's in the living room, mainly to provide lights during our not-infrequent power outages (yes, that's overkill for the purpose). The other is in the bedroom providing backup power for our CPAP units during the same circumstances.

The devices are nice because

1) they essentially act as UPSes - you can leave your stuff plugged in, and if there's wall power you'll draw from the wall not the battery. When power does fail, the switchover happens within 20ms.

2) The v2 devices use LiFePO4 batteries rather than Lithium Ion. They're a bit heavier, but offer better safety and recharging characteristics (and also aren't as dependent on rare earth minerals).
