iOS 26 Wallet App Will Let You Track All Your Packages

Apple is integrating Apple Intelligence in the Wallet app in iOS 26, with the aim of powering a new package tracking feature. Apple Wallet will be able to automatically scan your emails to find messages from merchants or delivery carriers, and tracking numbers will be added to the Wallet app so you can keep an eye on upcoming deliveries.

Package tracking is already a feature in the Wallet app, but at the current time, it only works with purchases made using Apple Pay. Going forward, you won't need to buy something with ‌Apple Pay‌ for it to show up in the order tracking section of the Wallet app.

If you're running ‌iOS 26‌, package tracking can be enabled by opening up the Wallet and ‌Apple Pay‌ section of the Settings app, tapping on ‌Apple Pay‌ Defaults, selecting Order Tracking, and toggling on Orders Found in Mail. Note that the feature has a beta label, which means Apple is still working out bugs.

‌iOS 26‌ is limited to developers right now, but Apple plans to release a public beta in July. The update will launch to the public in September alongside new iPhone models.

I bet there’s one package it can’t track. Oh come on, there’s one in every crowd 🥳🎉

Finally. This should've been done a while ago, and they didn't even need to wait for Apple Intelligence. The clipboard and spotlight has recognized tracking numbers for years now. And just like Safari can take authentications codes from emails, Wallet should've been importing tracking numbers from email.

I would like this so I can stop using multiple tracking apps.
FYI there is an App called Parcel which is great at aggregating all tracking information and synchronise it across all Apple devices via iCloud. Supports tracking numbers from all postal and courrier services I have thrown at it, and also Amazon’s proprietary order tracking system.

Edit: I just saw someone mention Royal Mail is currently blocking third party Apps from retrieving information in its website. Pretty silly and may also apply to Apple. I have used with with Royal Mail in the past with no issues though.

This feels like Parcel getting Sherlocked...I'll keep using it because it does such a great job. I recommend it unsparingly, it's amazing, and integrates into amazon directly. Wallet could give them a run for their money, though...

My big ask for Wallet is for it to handle receipts!

I so want to be able to get receipts from retailers imported straight into Wallet, at the till. Detailed receipts which could be used when returning items, etc.

So nice to be able to refuse printed receipts and not feel the need to accept them only to throw them away after a few days. Or lost. Or cluttering up physical wallets. Which is the fate for most of them. And to get that with no extra steps required (from my point of view) - just the screen switching from the usual paid screen display to "Receipt imported".

Unfortunately many retailers don't include the actual tracking numbers in the email, requiring you to go to their site to get the number via a "Track Package" or similar link.
