Here's What This Year's iPhone 18 Pro Display Could Look Like

Rumors about the iPhone 18 Pro's front panel have been all over the place lately, but what's now becoming clearer is that the Dynamic Island isn't going anywhere. Instead, it's getting a trim.

A concept image shared by designer Filip Vabroušek, working from leaks corroborated by former display analyst Ross Young, gives us a good idea of what to expect. The pill-shaped cutout at the top of the screen would shrink noticeably compared to current models, while staying put in the center of the display.

According to recent supply-chain leaks, Apple plans to move the IR flood illuminator – one component of Face ID – under the display in the top-left corner. The dot projector, infrared camera, and selfie camera would remain housed in a smaller, centered ‌Dynamic Island‌.

Earlier reports suggesting Apple would relocate the front camera to create a hole-punch cutout now appear to have been based on a misinterpretation of these under-display changes.

Apple is expected to announce the ‌iPhone 18 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 18 Pro‌ Max in September.
