If they add a blood pressure sensor to the next one I'll be buying it. Sounds like size was one of the big issues for that type of sensor, so it might be only in the Ultra in the first version.
Yes since iOS 26 there is now a huge demand for blood pressure monitoring.

All this does is remind me how shocking that opening $799 price point can seem, for a watch whose battery has a shelf life of a few years. But that's just me.
It is fairly expensive but for me it’s the most satisfying and beautifully built Apple device i ever purchased.

The fallacy of any Apple Watch is the battery. A few years out and it becomes an issue, For most battery watches, the value decreases over time....

My Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Pepsi" model from 1967 works just fine. It has had a few cleanings and glass replacements since 1967, but the case and internals are all original. Original cost of that Rolex was $375 new. It is worth over $5,000 now.

Sad to say my discounted to $720 Ultra Watch 2 (because of my military discount) was worth only $285 trade in value against the military discounted price of around $720 for the Ultra Watch 3. Taxes and Apple Care are not included in these numbers.

If one thinks seriously about all of the Apple products since day one, very few if any can operate today as they were intended to be used as the operating systems and relevant software are obsolete and probably unattainable.

So my G4 Cube (Power Mac 5,1) can power on and the fan will run, but there is no ADB bus wire today for networking and the WiFi card is unaware of WiFi 7. A beautiful design that had less than a year of useful life as I remember (July 2000 to February 2001 and discontinued July 2001) I think the cost with max memory and drive size crowded $2,400 then in those dollars that included two sphere speakers, keyboard and mouse.

Apple products are, sadly, "expense" items, not "appreciating assets".

It is easily my favorite Apple Watch design/build. Enjoy!
