Apple Card Promo to Offer Free AirPods Pro 3

Starting as early as next week, customers who sign up for an Apple Card at Apple's retail stores in the U.S. will receive $249 cash back when they purchase AirPods Pro 3, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The promotion has yet to be officially announced by Apple, so exact terms and conditions are not available at this time.

Apple Card iPhone 16 Pro Feature
AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 in the U.S., so customers who sign up for an Apple Card will effectively get free AirPods Pro through this promotion.

Apple Card cash back is known as Daily Cash, so customers would receive the $249 cash back on the same day as they sign up for the card.

As a refresher, the Apple Card launched in 2019, and it remains available in the U.S. only. The credit card can be managed in the iPhone's Wallet app, with color-coded spending summaries. The card has no annual fee, and it offers 2% to 3% cash back on purchases via Apple Pay and 1% back on purchases with the physical card.

Apple Card holders can also open a high-yield savings account.

Currently, the Apple Card is issued by Goldman Sachs, but Apple previously announced that Chase will be taking over the credit card by early 2028.

So if you cancel your card and re-up you make $250?
If this offer is true I can nearly guarantee existing card holders will not qualify even if they cancel, similar to other large cash back offers CC companies do all the time to attract new customers.

They'll have some type of wording about must not be previous card holder within past 90 days/6 months etc

It would be cool if Apple gave existing card holders some new benefits. How about an annual Apple One credit or something? Or like a $50 annual Apple Store credit? I think it’s a win-win, I imagine lots of people would use that towards a new iPhone.

No - in seriousness this is a good deal, but I have to say that in principle I'm against these sorts of credit card incentives. Apple and the banks don't do this to give credit-savvy consumers a good deal. They do it to encourage less savvy consumers to spend more than they can afford by presenting it as a 'good deal'.
That may be true however people need to take personal responsibility. I love these type of offers and take advantage of cash back all the time. Pay off balance every month without spending more than I can afford, not about wealth.

I've earned thousands over many years using credit cards for all purchases (and no interest payments.)
No one is perfect however IMO it's sad basic life skills aren't passed down from parents.

It's not really free when the bankers are offering it now, is it?
It is if you pay your card off every month, I’ve made at least several thousand off my credit cards

No annual fee for the card, and if they don't require depositing or maintaining a minimum balance, then this is a strikingly great deal for consumers. If you don't have the Apple Card already just sign up and get the free AirPods, and you don't even really need to use the card after that if you don't want to.
