Apple Seeds First Beta of watchOS 6.2.8 to Developers

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.2.8 update to developers, two weeks after releasing the watchOS 6.2.5 update with new Pride Apple Watch faces, and two days after releasing watchOS 6.2.6 with security fixes.

watchOS 6.2.8 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To install the new software, the ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌.

We don't yet know if there are new features included in watchOS 6.2.8, but we'll update this article if any changes are found.

Woohooooooo! Big fixes and performance improvements!
Lets hope so. That 6.2.5 update caused battery issues on my series 5 which is being sent in to Apple for repair.

No battery fixes? :

- Always at 100% battery

- Watch randomly dies

- Excessive battery drain

I am really liking this update so far. Even smoother than 6.2.6, and so far in the first few minutes have been really snappy! Kudos Apple, keep them coming.
So...you jumped off the dev beta to install the public release yesterday. Then back on today, to install this.
And, how is this smoother? You are definitely a phony. But, if this is how you like wasting your time...

Thaaaank you! Somebody else, who knows what’s been going on.
There’s been a lot of people who think their Watch is barely draining, when in actuality, it’s barely hanging in there.

I haven't personally seen any battery issues since pre 6.1
