I was a long time Apple guy, but over the last couple of years I've owned the Z Fold 6, 7, and now 8. I couldn't wait for Apple release their foldable, and I'm glad I tried out the Samsungs. You can do so much more with these devices than with iOS/ipados!
Ditto. I left iOS when the Fold 4 was released and graduated to the Fold 5, 6, and now TriFold. Each successive foldable easily became my favorite phone of all time. I wholeheartedly support Apple entering the foldable space (finally!), but am not in a rush to get the Duo. There are still some limitations with iOS that I can't get beyond, namely limited multi-window support and neutered file management.

The Duo is a step in the right direction. Without the Duo, there's no way I would go back to an iPhone. With the Duo, at least there's a future chance of returning to Apple.

When I saw the line "Samsung slashes prices" I was hoping to click through to see that the full header was "Samsung slashes prices on SSDs". Alas, no such luck.

The Frames are terrible TVs. Even the Frame Pro. Great for Artwork. But the TV side is not worth the cash at all. Better off with an OLED - even a cheap one.

depends what you do with either of them. The fold is a toy compared to an iPad Pro for any sort of creative work.
And the iPad Pro was a toy compared to my MBP for any sort of creative or development work.

For sure, it depends on what you do. But anything I could do on the iPad, I was also able to do on my Fold and the Fold was easier to have with me at all times. I chose what worked best for me.

Magic Trackpad, most mice, Wacom tablets, keyboard and 3d controllers all work on iPad? So don’t get that point.

So can your fold actually do anything professional? Downloading videos? Why? There are loads of free online services can drop a url in and that will download. Will even transcode them

I have literally created entire broadcast 3D animations on my iPad Pro? Animated, edited and finished.

Desktop class 3D sculpting with and in like Photoshop and illustrator and now cinema 4d on iPad. Even full office 365, which while it works on Android has to have a 10.1” screen to work.

Pretty much all Android pro apps are poor in comparison due to Androids biggest strength. Its diversity in screen sizes, GPU and GPU capability, various quirks Android versions and the HUGE disparity in version rollout.

Companies can make stuff for iOS and specify M2 minimum and it will work without headaches which is why no pro companies develop for Android.

I do get that there are various levels of working, a fold can do more in that space than a iPhone… but no where near what an iPad Air/Pro can do
Magic trackpad doesn't work with iPhone. That was my point. I don't carry a phone and a tablet and a laptop anymore. That's my other point.

Not sure why you feel the need to convince me that I need to be able to do on my phone what you do with your devices. I don't have the same workflow, and have never looked into doing those things that you do.

Don't feel so butt-hurt that someone prefers Android over Apple products! And don't worry about me, I'm doing great with my Fold!
