Apple PDA in 3 Weeks?

A source has passed on to us, here at Macrumors, that Apple may finally be about to announce their new PDA. Long-running rumors have abounded regarding Apple and Palm's joint collaboration on something, but no one was ever quite sure what. It seems that, if the rumors holds true, Apple's PDA will be based on the PalmOS, but will be very much more "unique" than, say, Handspring's PalmOS-variant platform. I can only imagine the industrial design magic that would undoubtedly go into such a unit from Apple right now. Only time will tell, but it'd be great to see Apple back in the PDA game--it was just over two years ago that the Newton platform was killed off.


Now if they would just incorporate the unsurpassed "Rosetta" handwriting recognition engine (used on the more recent NewtonOS 2.x units) into this machine we'd really be in for a treat. It's got to be seen to be believed. Really...
