Dev Tools for MacOS X

Slashdot has posted an article explaining the developer tool situation surrounding MacOS X. While most of the tools were bundled with OS X DP4, they are not included with OS X Public Beta. Apple is going to be shipping them out to members of the ADC (Apple Developers Connection) in the near future, as stated on this Apple developers' site. A $400 membership (September special), registering with the ADC will allow you to download these tools in mid-October, as well.

Interesting to see this "two CD" approach at OS X + Dev Tools distribution. This is pretty much how NeXT handled the OS + Dev Tools situation, as well--though all pieces were at a far, far higher price tag! (I believe NeXTSTEP Developer for non-students (that's software only), was ~$6,000 towards the end, there.)
