Internal Apple 17inch PowerBook Discounts
Reports indicate that Apple is offering the 17" PowerBook for Apple employees at significant discounts. These 17" PowerBook promotion purchases do not count towards the usual number of machines that can be bought at discount per year. The discount is offered until late September, or "while supplies last".
Many speculate that this may foreshadow PowerBook updates, however, similar comments were made after Xserve deals were offered to developers in Late June... and new Xserves have not been released.
One unconfirmed Page 2 Rumor claims that the 17" PowerBook has been End-of-Life'd, making way for updates.
