by

Mophie today expanded its line of universal chargers with new Powerstation Plus models that provide four different battery capacity options to meet consumers' mobile charging needs. The new models feature an anodized, soft-touch, aluminum casing and a hinged top plate that opens to expose a hidden compartment housing integrated cables.

The new Powerstation Plus builds upon the success of previous Powerstation models, adding new integrated charge and sync cables along with 2.4A charging capability. The built-in micro USB and Lightning cables are conveniently housed inside the charger's hinged housing and allow for simultaneous charging of the Powerstation Plus battery and the attached device.

The new Powerstation Plus chargers are available now at Mophie.com with prices starting at $79 for the 3,000 mAh capacity 2X model. Other versions include the 5,000 mAh Powerstation Plus 3X for $99, the 7,000 mAh Powerstation Plus 4X for $119 and the 12,000 mAh Powerstation Plus 8X for $149. Apple's online store also is carrying select models with the 2X and 3X versions both available now for purchase.

way too much for an external battery option....much cheaper options
Mophie needs to concentrate on the battery cases for the 6/6+

Too expensive, but it is nice that it has the lightning connector included and puts out 2.4 amps.

Most portable batteries only do 1.0 amps.

While the iphone 6 ships with a 1.0 charger, the phone will accept a charging rate of 2.1 amps allowing the phone to charge in half the time.
Anker 2nd Gen Astro 3 12000mah can output 2.4amps too. Costs only $45.

I love my Jackery (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_sc_0_7?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=jackery&sprefix=jockery%2Caps%2C153) Bar (6,000mAh) and Giant+(12,000mAh) for $30/40. Never had an issue with them for the year I've owned them…even if I did, I could get several more and still be under the Mophie 'name' brand.

Ads like these have really started to annoy me. They're so uninspired. Ads like these are very effective IF the customer is excited about how the product is going to look, and anticipation builds up during the ad, and only if it's an already known brand and so on. For these guys to do it like this serves more to confuse the customers than anything.
