Apple Releases First OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan Beta to Public Beta Testers

by

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming OS X 10.11.6 beta to public beta testers, just a day after releasing the first OS X 10.11.6 beta to developers and one week after releasing OS X 10.11.5, the fifth update to the OS X 10.11 operating system.

The new beta is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store for those who are enrolled in Apple's beta testing program. Those wishing to join the program can sign up on Apple's beta testing website.

Like many of the previous updates to the OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating system, OS X 10.11.6 appears to be minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes, security enhancements, and performance improvements. No obvious outward-facing changes or bug fixes were discovered in the first developer beta.

Oh, are you signed up to the public beta? Somehow from your last 40 posts, I get the impression that you're not.

I have been an avid mac user since 2006 i still use my G4 running tiger as a in house media server for movie watching and also my G5 PPC twin 1.8 still using it for my photo editing and finally my quad core with xeon chipset i run in the recording studio ,i installed yosemite upgrading from snow leopard ,only to deinstall it 4 hrs later from frustrations stemming from the amateurish icons on the dock to the lack of nimbleness few months later i tried El Capitan and same story there i also uninstalled it shortly after to revert to Mavericks it seems that the os mavericks is the most stable on my quad mac pro so until the code writers figure it out i'll let them do the beta testing ( i also installed these 2 op systems to try them out on 2 types of drives to test them out; 1 high speed regular hard drive server grade and 1 solid state drive in case you wondered ).

As for the flash drive removal thing i read in other's comments in this thread ;CleanMyDrive from macpaw.com ('http://macpaw.com') is what i found for a solution.
