Some Users Experiencing Issues With App Store and iTunes Store

macappstoreSome iOS and Mac users are currently unable to access the App Store, Mac App Store, and iTunes Store, according to reports from MacRumors readers and Twitter users.

When attempting to load the App Store on some devices, the Featured and Top Charts section are blank, and some users are reporting receiving "Cannot Connect to iTunes" messages when attempting to use the iTunes Store. App Store updates appear to be functional for some users despite the connectivity issues.

Apple's system status page has not yet been updated to reflect any kind of outage and it is not clear how many users are affected.

Poor Steve.

My Notes app won't connect either. I'm downloading the iCloud content at the first opportunity and sticking with Evernote. Another Apple service to cancel as quickly as possible.

...17.0.0.0/8 is owned and operated by Apple.
That means nothing. They used the same IP-address range in the past for software update, iTunes Store, MAS and other stuff. In many cases CDNs like Akamai provide the necessary bandwidth, not Apple servers.

Apple is a consumer-centric company. Unlike Microsoft, which serves corporate and enterprise users, they care less on service quality naturally.
If company like Microsoft runs Apple cloud service, the result would be a lot better.
Apple don't run their cloud services, were solely on AWS recently when they added Google and are trying to move away from Amazon and Google providing their cloud services and bringing them in house and I bet outages like these are the reason why.
