I know I run the risk of rants about my posting, but considering the price and technology of the Macbook Air 13" for $1250 at Best Buy (Student discount only), I figured I would share my recent purchase...a Lenovo Yoga 13":

● Processor: 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-8550U Processor (1.80GHz 8MB)
● Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64
● Display Type: 13.3" UHD IPS AntiGlare Multitouch (3840x2160) with integrated camera
● Memory: 16.0GB DDR4 2133 MHz
● Hard Drive: 1TB PCIe SSD
● Graphics: Intel® UHD Graphics 620
● Bluetooth: Bluetooth Version 4.1
● Pen: Lenovo Active Pen included
● Keyboard: Backlit English Keyboard

The above config cost me $1334 plus tax.

The Macbook Air 13" is using a 5th gen i7, 1/2 the RAM, 1/2 the drive, much less resolution at 1440 by 900, etc. and basically $70 cheaper than today's first-rate specs on the Yoga. Oh, and the sale price is only good for Students...so really it's $1549 for the Macbook Air.

The Yoga is also touchscreen and includes a pen. This is truly one bad-*** machine...even if I don't use the pen and touchscreen. Weight is the same as the Air at 2.9 pounds and the keyboard is glorious.

I like the Macs but Apple needs to do a better job at quick refreshes and better specs.
