Junk butterfly keyboards?

No deal.

It's amazing that now, four years later, one still cannot buy a quality laptop from Apple. At any price. Here's hoping 2020 is a return to the Mac.

I’ve seen a number of people on these forums state that one would be crazy not to get AppleCare. Except, now you’ve made an expensive computer even more costly. And then you’re left with a questionably reliable machine after AppleCare runs out. I keep my hardware a long time. It’s crazy that people are seemingly ok with this state of affairs.

This is what I’m debating doing now. Was it eBay or Craigslist?
I bought this one on eBay, although I bought my previous MacBook Pro on Craigslist. It’s always a calculated risk. I do like that you can check out an eBay seller’s feedback, ask them a question and see if they seem like a non weirdo. These days good eBay sellers post pictures including the serial number, the battery stats and all that. You can look up the warranty coverage, it’s nice.
