Apple Seeds First Beta of watchOS 6.1.1 to Developers

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.1.1 update to developers, one week after releasing the watchOS 6.1 update with support for AirPods Pro and the Series 1 and Series 2 Apple Watch models.

Once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS beta can be downloaded through the dedicated ‌Apple Watch‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To install the update, the ‌Apple Watch‌ needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it has to be in range of the iPhone.

We don't yet know what features are included in the watchOS 6.1.1 beta, but once we install the update and figure out what's new, we'll update this article.

Hopefully, the ability to control the Apple TV with Siri on the Watch will be added soon!
App specific notification sounds would be cool, too.

It's a brand new S5 watch. The battery was tested and found to be optimal. I was also able to reproduce this problem with S4. A friend of mine has S3 and is experiencing a similar issue.

Finally - the fact that reset helps for several weeks pretty much rules out a h/w problem - but rather points to a data issue.
I feel your pain. I initially upgraded form my s3 to a new s5. used it for a week it would barely last half a day even after turning off noise and always on features. Did resets and restores and new installs. nothing helped. first on 6 then on 6.1 for a day. I returned it.
Sadly i had reset my s3 because it was going to be turned in so it updated to 6.1 as well. Now that is having the same ****** battery life. Barely makes it 10 hours now when before i reset and updated it it would last a day and half easy.
This 6.x update is ****. my wife has not upgraded hers and its still going almost two days.
Very pissed

6.1 was already super smooth can't see any changes with 6.1.1
That answers your earlier question about why .1.1, not .2 then

Yeaaah...it’s no better. Not worse. But, not noticeably better.

Yes, fantastic update, works great for me as well. Battery life seems even better (it was already great).
