CES 2020: iPhone-Connected NURVV Run Insoles Analyze Running Data

NURVV today debuted the NURVV Run, a set of iPhone-connected insoles worn inside the shoes that are designed to analyze running habits and deliver the information to the accompanying NURVV iPhone app.

There are 32 sensors embedded in the insoles that capture data from the feet at 1,000 times per second per sensor, offering running metrics like cadence, step length, footstrike, pronation, and balance, for a complete picture of each user's running technique.

The data is set to the NURVV Run app for analysis, with the app delivering "actionable insights and personalized coaching" for improvements that can be made before, during, and after a run.

There's also an in-run coaching feature that's designed to help users run at a target pace, achieve a chosen time, or beat a personal record with in-run audio and haptic feedback.

A personalized Running Health score is meant to help users determine how sustainable their running is based on training load, pronation, cadence, and balance so runners can reduce injury risk and avoid training too hard.

According to NURVV, NURVV Run is able to fit in all running shoes and is rain, mud, and puddle proof. It features a five hour active battery life.

More information on NURVV Run can be found on the NURVV website, and pre-orders are set to go live today. NURVV Run is available in multiple sizes and is priced at $300.

If you need that, it's time to get a life.
So someone that’s a serious athlete/marathon runner should ‘get a life’ because they want to know more statistical data about their running? Obviously your post doesn’t have any credibility, and/or, you’re obviously not an athlete that would be interested in something like this with that type of comment.

Even if this product reaches ‘one person’, it offers enough information to gauge their regiment and could help prevent over-training.

Agree. Been doing triathlon for several years and use the Garmin HR Tri chest strap that captures a lot of that running data. If I see I’m favoring one side over another in my stride it’s a likely sign of an impending niggle or injury. And it’s nice to be able to address a niggle *before* it becomes an injury - especially at my age.

And I like to stay injury free because I have a life.

People might think you're running from the cops. Kind of looks like a house arrest ankle bracelet.

never mind the price, that power brick at your ankles will deter you from any serious running!

I’d like to see Nike or Adidas include this in their self pacing shoes or others in the future.

love the name though; reminds me of a movie featuring Ryan Phillipe.
Nike/adidas would have to find a way to make this reusable or it’d be insanely expensive and wasteful to boot. The only thing worse than buying this once would be buying this each time you replace your shoes. Or just change between trail and flat shoes, if you’re into that.

conveniently, inserts should handle this nicely
