Apple Seeds First Beta of iOS and iPadOS 13.4.5 to Developers

iOS and ‌iPadOS‌ 13.4.5 can be downloaded from the Apple Developer center or over the air once the proper developer profile has been installed. There's no word on why Apple decided to use iOS 13.4.5 as the beta update number instead of iOS 13.4.1.

We don't yet know what's included in the iOS 13.4.5 update, but it likely focuses on bug fixes for issues unable to be addressed in the iOS 13.4 update.

Specifically, it could address an issue with Personal Hotspot that prevents it from working properly for some users, or a privacy bug with VPNs. Apple said it would fix both of these problem in upcoming updates.

Once we download the update and take a look at what's new, we'll update this article.

From 13.4 to 13.4.5. This tells me there will be a few smaller updates in between.
Oh. You’re the only one who understands. Everyone else is surprised.

I bet it has something to do with securing a fork of the codebase for engineers to be able to work on it from home. (The versioning that is)

Wonder if this fixes the bug where if you long-press on settings, then select bluetooth (without the settings app already backgrounded), the settings app will crash instantly.

yes, I sent feedback to Apple, along with a video showing the crash.

Edit:Fixed!

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Shouldn't it be 13.5 then?

I second that. It happens on both my iPhones (11 Pro and 8)

9to5mac says code found in 13.4.5 refers to a new model that appears to be the rumored iPhone 9/SE2.

Maybe iOS 13.4.5 is what Apple plans to release when it announces the new 9/SE2, rumored to be coming in the next two weeks.
