HBO Max launched today, and is now available on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad. WarnerMedia's new streaming service, which replaces HBO Now, combines HBO content with shows and films from Warner Bros and Turner TV.

The service is available as a native app on the ‌‌Apple TV‌‌ HD and ‌‌Apple TV‌‌ 4K, but second and third-generation ‌‌Apple TV‌‌ owners will need to AirPlay HBO Max content from an iOS device to the TV to watch.

New HBO Max customers who have an ‌iPhone‌, ‌‌Apple TV‌‌, ‌‌iPad‌‌, or Mac will be able to subscribe to the service, priced at $14.99 per month, using in-app purchases on Apple devices.

HBO Max feature more than 10,000 hours of programming, and costs $14.99 per month during the first year. In 2021, WarnerMedia also plans to launch an ad-supported version of the service that is more affordable.

I am the opposite. I like everything having its own place (probably habit). Apple TV+ for example seems like a mess to me, just thrown into everything else that you have to pay for by movie / episode.

i got the trial to try it out but I’ll probably cancel it. Too expensive. 15 bucks is more than I pay for Spotify, Netflix & Hulu/Disney+ & YouTube Premium combined

How do you get all of those services combined for under $15?

…the originals (not HBO, but HBO Max originals) suck!
Originals:
[LIST=1]
* Elmo Late Show - good for kids, not adults.
* Legendary drag queen-fest, excuse me while I vomit in the corner.

Regarding #1, don't watch it. Considering at the end of your post you highlight Disney+ as superior, given that a large chunk of its content is 'for kids', you should be more than capable of this.

As for #2, congratulations at your performative outrage. If diversity sickens you so much, this Apple support article entitled 'Move and hide apps on your Apple TV ('https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200126')' should help you delete the HBO Max app and you can continue watching the content library you previously enjoyed.

Too many streaming services nowadays plus HBO GO vs HBO NOW vs HBO MAX.. it's like they can't make up their mind. Why not abolish all and simply call it HBO+...
