"Echo 3" tells the story of Amber Chesborough, a young scientist who goes missing at the Colombia-Venezuela border. Her brother and her husband, who both have "deep military experience and complicated pasts" struggle to find her.

The show was created by Mark Boal, known for "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty," with Boal serving as showrunner along with Jason Horwitch, known for "House of Cards." The show is part of Apple's international originals and it will feature dialog in both English and Spanish.

"When Heroes Fly," the original TV show "Echo 3" is based on," is available to watch on Netflix.

Apple is working with Israeli company Keshet on the series, as Keshet owns the rights to "When Heroes Fly." Apple has also teamed up with Keshet for "Suspicion," a drama starring Uma Thurman based on Israeli TV series "False Flag."

Great, another CSI, Bravo Team, FBI, etc type of show. I want hardcore science fiction; gimme some Larry Niven (Ringworld) or Joe Phillip Farmer (Riverworld), I'd love some alternate history sci-fi (Larry Flint).

I'm still waiting for anything to watch on my free 1 yr subscription.

If you haven’t found a single thing to watch on Apple’s offering so far, I’m sorry but you’re clearly looking for very specific, niche content.

Ive watched the original show , it has NOTHING to do with Bravo team , FBI or CSI , like really nothing , its not a military show in any metric , the original was non violent no sex , with strong thriller aspects and suspense , It was great show , with mediocre ending , its amazing how FAST you were able to judge the show to wrongly and get some likes along the way.... jeez.

I don’t watch a lot of tv. I will watch and occasional b grade slasher film. But typically I watch a car or diy show. Maybe chopped. I do like forged In fire.

I keep basic cable
Ok so you’re clearly not the target market for any streaming platform.

This whole Apple TV+ thing is so cringe. Imagine if Steve jobs had Apple hire bands to make music for iTunes. They’ve completely lost their focus. Sad.
Bro. Apple's a far bigger company than it ever was under SJ. Through personnel and product range.

It’s absolutely correct that I want niche programming; that’s what I’ve got Shudder streaming service for. And yes, I judged the Israeli show without even having seen it - it just doesn’t appeal to me at all. There isn’t anything wrong with that is there? I didn’t call the programming crap or call down anyone’s preference, nor will I.

At the moment I’m rewatching Ash .vs. Evil Dead. That’s niche and I can/do appreciate that not everyone likes that genre. Not a big deal and it doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of said programming.

Kinda the same with Disney+; I gave my niece a 1 year sub allowing 4 simultaneous logins; installed it on an iPad Pro and couldn’t find a single thing I wanted to watch so I just deleted it.

That’s the beauty of having multiple streaming services available - choice.

But you didnt even know what the show is about , but you were so quick to categorize it with the CSI/FBI shows and throw the "That’s the beauty of having multiple streaming services available - choice."
When you make them (choices) without any basis or knowledge of what you are dismissing , it has a different name......

Also it doesnt get any more niche then doing an Israeli novel/show remake is it ? can it be popular while being a niche ? sure , thats the goal of any show , Its a 10 episode show with a strong script , not some kind of 8 season long show that was supposed to end in 1 season (i.e prison break for example) , I actually really like shows that ends in 1 or 2 seasons tops , they can pack a punch and have good closures , i find the 9 season shows usually become way too generic , until that last season where they try and wrap things up with a bang , unless its comedy shows , then i dont mind the extra seasons.

TLDR - pass judgment when you have some information and not just bias , unless of course you dont really want to be objective , which is of course your right to do as well.
