PopSockets today announced the launch of a new PopSocket accessory, the PopMount 2 Photo. The PopMount 2 Photo is a stand that attaches to the back of a PopGrip installed on an iPhone, with the PopMount then able to be attached to any tripod.
Available in black, the PopMount 2 Photo is compatible with 1/4 20 tripods or tripod plates, so it is compatible with a wide range of accessories. It can also be used alone as a handheld stabilization device.
PopSockets says that the PopMount 2 Photo is compatible with all available PopGrips, and the simple design allows for mounting in either portrait or landscape mode with a PopGrip. The slim design is also ideal for travel.

Update — 10 a.m. Pacific Time: Apple has released iOS 27.
During its iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo event last week, Apple announced that iOS 27 will be released widely on Monday, September 14.
iOS 27 should be available around 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time today via the Settings app, under General → Software Update.

As noted by Nicolas Lellouche, who writes for the French tech website Numerama, Apple has updated its tech specs pages for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to clarify which models are equipped with its new C2 cellular modem and where.

I think most people are only going to be able to shoot portrait orientation with this. You can only shoot landscape if your pop socket is positioned exactly at center of mass, otherwise the heavier end of the phone will swing down.
