Apple TV+ Shares Trailer for Stephen King's Thriller Series 'Lisey's Story'

Apple today shared the official trailer for "Lisey's Story," a thriller series based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King.

Hailing from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the original series follows Lisey Landon (played by Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (played by Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind, according to Apple.

All eight episodes of "Lisey's Story" were personally written by King, with Pablo Larraín directing. The series premieres on Apple TV+ on June 4.

No one tell this guy what King thinks of people like him. Sounds like it’ll kill him.

Looks interesting. Love Clive Owen.
Agree x 2. Also feel Clive is an underrated / under appreciated actor. Julianne is virtually bullet proof. Plus King’s writing, JJ is signed on, like that it’s a series vs a feature film… I see nothing but good here.

Looks promising, although it has to be said, King adaptations are not universally great by any stretch of the imagination.

Funny, one of my teachers, whose a known director, was offered this and passed. He made us read the opening scene in class and asked if we’d take the job or not.

The class unanimously said “no”.

The writing was SO bad I couldn’t believe it was Stephen King. Then afterwards, A-list actors slowly got attached and now it looks legit.

This is going to be fascinating to watch and see how much has changed and how an actor can elevate your project.
