I got a pair and have to say the overall sound was very good (for Bluetooth). However, much to my chagrin I could not use them more than about 40 minutes before they more than bothered my ears due to their shape. I went back to the previous generation 2 and missed out on the goodness of the 3's. Those that can use them comfortably will find this price to be more than worth it.

I was sad when I had to return mine last year because they kept falling out of my ears. I had to get the 2nd gen ones.

I wish they would have made a 3rd gen version with the design of the 2nd but all the new tech of the 3rd gen.

I use the Powerbeats Pro due to their around the ear design, it's the only way I can use these devices without them falling off.

These things have been relentlessly on sale since just a bit after release.

Makes one wonder if they aren’t moving off the shelves well.

They were too much of a design departure for me personally.
AirPods in general are commonly on sale. People only pay the full Apple MSRP if they want to.

Actually this deal is not for new AirPods, the ones they’re selling are Grade A refurbished, which I imagine is different than brand new (see image). Not sure if it’s worth it or if I should wait for the next “upgrade” whatever that is.
