Fix for iPhone 14 Pro Camera Vibration Issue Coming Next Week

Apple is aware of a bug that is causing the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max cameras to shake and vibrate, and a fix is set to come next week, according to an Apple spokesperson that spoke to MacRumors.

iPhone 14 Pro Rear Camera
Following the release of the iPhone 14 Pro models, users noticed almost right away that there was a shaking issue with third-party camera apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram. The bug causes the camera to vibrate uncontrollably, which results in noticeably shaky video.

The issue appears to be widespread given the number of complaints that we've seen so far. That Apple is able to address it in a software update confirms that it is indeed a software issue and isn't something related to the hardware.

Apple's own Camera app is not affected by the vibration bug, and it is a problem limited to third-party apps. At the current time, there is no workaround and iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users should avoid using the camera in apps like Instagram and TikTok until Apple is able to address the issue next week.

No. It's a software issue, not a hardware problem. It will be fixed next week
A software issue that caused a hardware problem. So I’m pretty sure we already broke them.

Last night an AppleCare senior engineer told me my phone needed to be replaced. He said he would have to transfer me to sales. Sales said they were setting up a return and replacement. I said they can charge my card for the new phone so that I can send this phone back once I receive the replacement. They said all they could do was send me a return label for my phone and once they receive it, a new order would be placed at the back of the line. She said I would be without a phone for about 6 weeks and am I ready to proceed. I told her that is not going to work for obvious reasons, and she offered to transfer me back to AppleCare. Luke Miani already said his camera’s auto focus was permanently broken from this. I don’t know if I trust a software fix after AppleCare senior engineer already said my phone had to be replaced. I ordered a new phone and will return this one.

So a possible hardware damaging software problem will be addressed next week? Seems like it should be a little more urgent?

A week is a long time for people to use phones and damage them potentially. Really shows how sloppy apple has become under Timeh Time to leave Tim.
Yeah, I was just thinking, if there was ever a time to push an emergency fix using the new hotfix feature in iOS 16, THIS WOULD BE IT.

So the ones that got the shaking thing should replace anyway because they damaged it right?
Well since they can’t be sure if it caused permanent damage it is probably safer to exchange it while they can.
