I have the OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock and it's phenomenal. Expensive, but very very good. Highly recommended.

Honestly, who needs so many USB-A ports these days? I don't have anything to connect there anymore.

Blu-Ray/DVD/CD drive
Audio/MIDI interface
Roland GP-10 guitar processor
Empty port for USB flash drive/connecting to digital camera/etc.

No, I don't need to have all of those connected at once, but it's more convenient than plugging and unplugging devices. I have a 10-port Anker USB 3.0 hub that I bought several years ago for about $80.

This. I'm constantly needing to get adapter cables to connect my USB-C devices. I don't know when hubs, Raspberry Pis, NAS's, etc. will enter the latest decade. Probably about by the time we're trying to switch to USB-D I suppose.

Gotta say, these docks actually look really cool. If I needed one, the drool factor would definitely be on for one of these.

Honestly, who needs so many USB-A ports these days? I don't have anything to connect there anymore.
It really just depends on what you have and if its not new. I still have alot of USB-A stuff.

Hoping one of these days these docks will feature a 10 Gigabit LAN port.
The Pro Dock, the last one listed has 10Gb.


I was looking for the same thing. The OWC Thunderbolt Pro Dock ('https://www.tkqlhce.com/click-462641-11911660?url=https%3A%2F%2Feshop.macsales.com%2Fshop%2Fowc-thunderbolt-pro-dock') does include a 10GbE port and is included in the sale for $329.99
Really not a bad deal at all, especially for anyone thinking about getting a new Mac that has a $100 10Gb Ethernet upgrade option.

Hoping one of these days these docks will feature a 10 Gigabit LAN port. I want to fully utilize my 10GbE network and NAS and the adapters that are out there are still running very hot or are too expensive.
Beware that if you want to be able to use HomePod mini as the speaker for your computer while using tge OWC 10Gbs port you won’t be able to. There is a bug preventing you from airplaying to HomePod while connected to a 10Gbs port.
