Apple's Extended Return Policy Now in Effect for 2023 Holiday Season

Apple today indicated that its extended return policy is now in effect for the 2023 holiday shopping season. The policy applies to most products that Apple sells, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, accessories, and more.

iPhone Boxes
In the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, and many other countries, most products purchased between November 3 and December 25 of this year may be returned through January 8, 2024, according to Apple's website. All purchases made after December 25 are subject to Apple's standard 14-day return policy.

In some countries, the return window is slightly longer. In Italy, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, and Japan, Apple says most products purchased between November 3, 2023 and January 6, 2024 may be returned through January 20, 2024.

Apple has also updated its online "Store" page with gift recommendations for the holidays.

Unless you bought it the day after the Scary Fast keynote
"Eligible products at the Apple Store Online that are received between November 3, 2023 and December 25, 2023.."

Even if you bought a M3 Mac the day after the Scary Fast keynote, you'll still be covered under the holiday returns since it doesn't ship until next week

Return it and rebuy it today to get in on the extended return window. Problem solved.

In other words, we get up to 67 days to test out Apple products. 👍

Perfect opportunity for those wondering if they should upgrade from their M1 Mac to an M3 Mac? 🤷‍♂️

Returns can be extremely bad, environmentally. A purchase from Apple is usually a big thing/expense. Think about it before buying.

The waste from easy/free returns is horrendous.
Big thing/expense is a good thing here. Returned fast fashion is dumped in a landfill. A returned MacBook Pro will be refurbished and sold to someone else.

It’s one thing to have policy in place. It’s the other that store staff has no idea and insist on standard return policy even if you do return within Apple’s officially announced year end return policy but outside of 14 day period.

Happened to me once and was a horrible experience to argue.
Simply direct them to the website, or ask to speak with a manager, Karen style. No problem, no need to get worked up, let them suffer for their ignorance, not you.
