Here's Apple's Full iPad Lineup With New iPad Pro and iPad Air Models

With the debut of updated iPad Pro and iPad Air models, Apple has streamlined its iPad lineup with a range of devices available in different sizes and price points. The ‌iPad Air‌ now comes in two sizes like the ‌iPad Pro‌, the ninth-generation $329 ‌iPad‌ has been discontinued, and Apple has dropped the price of the standard 10th-generation ‌iPad‌.

Apple's full lineup with starting prices:

  • 13-inch iPad Pro - $1,299
  • 11-inch iPad Pro - $999
  • 13-inch iPad Air - $799
  • 11-inch iPad Air - $599
  • 10.9-inch iPad - $349 (down from $449)
  • 8.3-inch iPad mini - $499

The low-cost ‌iPad‌ now starts at $349 instead of $329 because the ninth-generation ‌iPad‌ has been discontinued, but the 10th-generation model has A14 chip instead of the older A13 chip. All of the ‌iPad‌ models can be updated with additional storage space, which increases the price. The high-end 2TB 13-inch ‌iPad Pro‌, for example, is $2,299, and even more expensive with nano-texture glass and cellular connectivity.

Apple introduced a new Magic Keyboard and an Apple Pencil Pro to go along with the ‌iPad Pro‌ models. The ‌iPad Pro‌ and ‌iPad Air‌ can be ordered as of today.

The Magic Keyboard situation is a real mess and the main reason I’m not upgrading. They can’t keep selling a $350 accessory that’s only good for 2 generations at best.
Exactly. One of Apple’s more-cynical angles there.

No new mini. I am sad.
It might still come in the fall with the new iPhone (or a month later). Apple tends to update that model the least frequently.

Have to say, they have now got a lineup with much more differentiation on the tiers… on price, performance and features.

How it should have been a while ago. An iPad for everyone… and the icing on the cake is the reduced cost of the ipad Mini. Still the most underrated device… lets hope it sees some nice updates too when they come… an oled screen would be great for movies and eBooks.

The presentation essentially codified that Apple is going to do what they’ve done with the iPhone, as in using the prior generation Pro specs in that year’s new mainstream model, to the iPad.

Curious as to why you would consider upgrading. I have the same 4th gen and it's running everything fine with no indications of slowdown. And the old pencil doesn't even work on the new iPads...
Battery is the number 1 issue I have. My battery is draining faster and faster every week and I’m having to charge my iPad sometimes 3 times a day. I have noticed a few hiccups in some apps and in Safari and I think an M2 chip will solve some of that. Finally, I could really use the 128GB of storage. I don’t foresee needing more than that, but 64 has become a real limitation for me.

In fact, I went ahead and ordered the new 11 inch Air. I got a pretty decent trade-in deal on my 4th gen and decided to just pull the trigger before the trade-in price comes down.
