Apple Shares Special Wallpaper and Watch Face to Celebrate New Store

Apple recently announced it will be opening a new retail store at the MixC Hefei shopping mall in Hefei, China on January 18 at 10 a.m. local time.

To celebrate the store's upcoming grand opening, Apple has shared both a special wallpaper and Apple Watch face featuring a custom-designed Apple logo.

The wallpaper is available for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Ahead of the Chinese New Year later this month, Apple will be running a promotion in China that offers savings on select products. The promotion runs from January 4 through January 7, and details are available on Apple's online store.

Apple's annual Japanese New Year promotion is now underway, with customers in Japan able to receive savings and/or a special AirTag with select purchases.

Wallpapers aren’t Apple’s strong side.
Anymore. They had beautiful wallpapers when they focused on astronomy & earth landscapes.

Now they just mix colors on Microsoft paint

Here's photos of the actual store. I wish the wallpaper for download had the same brown background. I don't like the white background of the one on display, I like the contrasting brown - and the wood grain texture and lighting used on the temporary store front.

I admit that right now I’m only interested, obsessively in fact, with M-series power and progress so I’m most looking forward to M4 Ultra (not that I’ll own one) and the M5 launch. M5 Pro and Max having the rumored separate GPU is also intriguing.

Second to that, iPhone17 Pro camera enhancements. These are the only things that make any difference to me individually.

Well I actually like this wallpaper. I only wish this had the property to dynamically change from white to different shades of grey to finally black instead of being completely white all the time.
