Get the M3 MacBook Air for Just $699 at Best Buy

Best Buy this week is taking $200 off several models of the M3 MacBook Air from 2024, with deals focusing mainly on the 13-inch versions of the computer. Prices start at just $699.00 for the 256GB M3 MacBook Air, down from $899.00.

You'll also find the 16GB RAM/512GB SSD M3 MacBook Air on sale for $899.00 and the 24GB RAM/512GB SSD M3 MacBook Air on sale for $1,099.00. All of these represent record low prices on the computer and right now only Best Buy has the deals.

Apple's original price on the 256GB 13-inch M3 MacBook Air was $1,099.00, so Best Buy's price today represents a huge discount on the previous generation computer.

If you're on the hunt for the newest M4 MacBook Air, some deals remain at Amazon this week. You can get the entry-level 256GB 13-inch M4 MacBook Air for $849.00 ($150 off) and the 256GB 15-inch M4 MacBook Air for $1,049.00 ($150 off).

Because the only reason for me to buy a MacBook is to be synced in Apple’s ecosystem (texts, notes, reminders etc). I am very happy with Windows 11.
Hey… they found him! The guy who’s happy with Windows 11! 🤣

At $699 no doubt it is a great deal. It will get one year less software than the newest models but it still will get many more years of updates. Definitely it is a deal to consider. Cannot go wrong by purchasing this one.
This machine only came out last year so you could reasonably expect software updates until 2030 (give or take a year) and security updates for 2 years after. A 5-7 year lifespan for a comparatively low end laptop is pretty good to be honest.

heck of a deal, unless you really need true dual monitor support this is a no brainer.

If $699 for a 13-inch M3 MacBook Air 16/256 and $899 for a 13-inch M3 MacBook Air 16/512 are considered a no brainer, then what is $749 for a 13-inch M4 MacBook Air 16/256 and $949 for a 13-inch M4 MacBook Air 16/512 ($50 more each) considered?

That's what the prices will be during Apple's Back-to-School sale when you account for the $150 Apple Gift Card ('https://www.macrumors.com/2024/06/20/apple-back-to-schoo-promotion-launches/').

Best Buy's probably running this sale because they don't want to be stuck with old M3 MacBook Air's when M4's are only $50 more after the $150 Apple gift card.

The knock is that this is the M3 and comes with all the limitations of the M3. Most people using the machine for work are better off picking up an M4 MBA on sale (24 GB of RAM) or even holding out for an M5 MBA.
The M3 chip is more than enough for 95% of users needs. No need to hold out unless you're really going to push the machine, in which case you might as well get a Pro.

For anyone that can shop of the AAFES or Military exchange, they have been having really good deals on Apple products, such as $250 off the M4 MacBook Air deals off and on for the last few weeks.

I signed up for a MilStar CC for an additional 10% off the first purchase, and was able to get my wife the base model M4 15" MBA for only $854.10, so $344.90 off retail.

The 13" had the same $250 off, so with a MilStar card sign up, you could get a new 13" M4 MacBook Air for only $674.10.

The deal is gone now, but most likely will be back soon, so be on the look out. Might be before then, but maybe the 4th of July holiday.
