Apple Announces Fourth Store in India

Apple is launching a new retail store location in India, with Apple Koregaon Park set to open on Thursday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. local time.

Apple Koregaon Park is located in Pune, in the state of Maharashtra. Apple already has two retail store locations that are operational in India, including one in Mumbai and one in New Delhi.

Earlier this week, Apple announced a third store located in Bengaluru, which will open two days before Apple Koregaon Park. Apple Koregaon Park will be Apple's fourth retail store in India when it opens.

"Namaskar, Pune," reads Apple's store announcement for the location. "The first Apple Store in the city opens its doors soon. We can't wait to see your vibrant ideas come to life at Apple Koregaon Park."

Apple is using the same peacock-feathered Apple logo for Apple Koregaon Park that it is using for the Hebbal store in Bengaluru, with a wallpaper available from Apple's website.

Apple launched its first two stores in India back in 2023, after launching the online store in the country in 2020.

Glad to see more stores opening in India, just in time for the iPhone 17 series. Happy to see Apple expand its retail presence in India.

Rather interesting that Pune (Poona for us purists) is where Apple’s going next. Unlike the other three locations, Pune is a tier two city, although one where there’s a lot of tech and colleges.
Literally no purist will ever call it Poona. Pune is what purists and locals call it. Absurd that you would claim so. From a proud Punekar.

I wish we could filter out Apple Store opening and closing news from the feed. Maybe I'm alone in this, but this is the news I care about the least here. News about specific stores are so regional, that I don't know why they are reported here. Massive trends in stores, such as "Apple closes 50% of stores" or something would be newsworthy here. A store opening up next to an Arby's in some mall far less so--that is news that is only relevant to the people directly next to the store, and the audience here is all over the world.
Just keep scrolling if you are not interested.. Why waste time typing such a long message?

Apart from Tier-2 Car driving style of it’s residents, Pune is now a Tier-1 city.
I love Pune. Once the metro is complete, it will be unstoppable.
