The problem with Apple Arcade, from my perspective, is that there are only a few games that might make it worth a subscription, and which I would happily purchase directly but can’t, because they’re only available via subscription. And the vast majority just aren’t worth subscribing for.

I literally just unsubscribed from Apple Arcade yesterday because I don’t use it enough to be worth it. The select titles I like are now available on other platforms, and so I just buy them there.

But hey, at least Tim gets to say line go up.
The real bang for buck happens when you have a family with family sharing. $6.99 for your kids to have hundreds of ad free and predatory games is a huge win

Age of Empires would have been way cooler
If they pull that off (or maybe AoEII), they'd definitely get more subscribers—It's one of the reasons (clearly not worth it by itself of course) I have a Parallels subscription. Maybe they should sue Microsoft in an EU court and claim they aren't being allowed to compete by not being allowed to sell Age of Empires II in their App Store.

I’ve never played any of these, but it looks very cool. For those familiar with the game play dynamics, if I was to run it on my Mac, but mirrored over to my 75” TV (using Apple TV) would the latency be a problem? Looks more like a strategy thing than a “quick reflexes” thing, unless I’m wrong about that.
I have never played any of these games either. Since I have Arcade as part of my Apple One subscription I will probably give it a try. Hopefully it won’t be too difficult to get into for someone who’s never played one.
