No iPhone 18 This Year, New Report Says
Apple has no plans to release a standard iPhone 18 model this year, according to a Nikkei Asia report citing supply chain sources.

The report said Apple plans to release an iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the first-ever foldable iPhone later this year, followed by the base model iPhone 18 in the first half of next year. Apple also has a revamped iPhone Air in the pipeline, but the publication does not expect it to launch until next year at the earliest.
Other sources like The Information and Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have also indicated that the regular iPhone 18 model will not launch until next year, so this is a widespread rumor by this point. Expect the iPhone 18 Pro and foldable models in September 2026, followed by the regular iPhone 18 around March 2027.
According to Nikkei Asia, Apple decided to hold off on releasing the regular iPhone 18 until next year as both a marketing strategy and to try to offset the impact of skyrocketing RAM and NAND storage chip prices this year.
