The book explores the first five decades of Apple's history, including interviews with 150 key people who shaped Apple into what it is today, like Steve Wozniak, John Sculley, Jony Ive, and more. The book is launching to coincide with Apple's upcoming 50th anniversary on April 1, 2026.

Alternatively, order it through Bookshop.org and support a local bookstore in the process (which is what I did; not saying to not support MR, but Amazon doesn't need your money as much as a local bookstore does). The book is quite nice—worth the money for the content (and the short wait for delivery).

It’s weirdly overpriced for what it is.

Get it for 100% off at your local library.

Mine has three copies on order, and no holds.

EXACTLY! I no longer buy anything through Amazon. Support local book stores.

This review caught my eye

I’ve been an apple fan all my life, but this is nearly unreadable. The level of detail and research for this book can’t be denied, but the problem is the prose is at about a fourth grade level. For example:

“ At this point, the Steves’ business plan was still vague: Sell 50 circuit boards. But they still needed $1,600 to get them made. They needed some startup capital.”

Lazy and weak, and likely mostly written by AI.
