As an owner of several rooms full of Sonos - I will say if you are purchasing anything Sonos at full price you are doing it wrong. They are on sale at these prices almost every other month. Unlike a lot of comments here that bag on Sonos, they still work great for me and with Apple TV. No complaints other than they are expensive and the sale prices should be their normal prices. They sound great and it's worth their value even at that cost.

Also their refurbished items are usually/basically brand new with the same warranty.

Nah I’m good. Sonos blew it for me, not interested any longer.

Also, they stopped the cooperatiin with Ikea, I liked those.

The sonos I have now will continue to work as airplay targets, on sonos software v1.

I am happy for all those people that have Sonos products that work fine. My collection of speakers still has issues on a *very* regular basis and so I have no interest in buying anything more from them. They sound great... when they're actually working so it's really too bad that the system is borked because of software quality. I am amazed that my collection of Squeezebox stuff from almost twenty years ago continues to perform flawlessly and has a better iphone app and web interface. So I know it's possible, Sonos...
