There are discounts on a wide array of different Ultra 3 models, but they're only hitting around $50 off as of writing. For the Black Ocean Band model, Amazon provides an estimated delivery date before the end of the week, so it will arrive before Father's Day.

You'll also find all-time low prices on the Apple Watch Series 11 on Amazon ahead of Prime Day, with $100 discounts across numerous models of the smartwatch. This sale includes a handful of GPS aluminum models on sale at record low prices.

You can get the 42mm GPS Apple Watch Series 11 for $299.00, down from $399.00, and the 46mm GPS model for $329.00, down from $429.00. On Amazon, you'll find four of the 42mm GPS models and four of the 46mm GPS models on sale at these all-time low prices.

Apple is just going to sunset it 2 years early..
Indeed. Apple deserves all the bad press and commentary it’s getting for dropping the ball on the first Ultra barely two years after release.

Does the ultra 1 stop being functional after being legacied? Are there newly disabled features being taken away?

I’m not understanding the complaint that your device still does everything you bought it for. Will someone elaborate how their watch was harmed with that decision?
from psychological perspective dropped support equals to “your watch is old peace of tech”. Also when ppl pay 1k to the watch and after 3.5 you read no more updates for your expensive little toy … - it basically hurts… I know ppl which bought ultra and basically never used any specific features…

Over all it depends on ppl point of view in life …

I bet ppl more disappointed about updating to WatchOS26 and not be able to touch WatchOS27 which is major improvement. It is like mouse trap: you can’t go back to the sharp WatchOS 18 and can’t go forward for WatcOS 27…

I'm not buying anything from Apple until after all the 27OSs are fully released. It is clear that most everything coming is being designed around them.

since my gen 1 ultra is being sunsetted I am seriously on the fence about ever buying another apple watch again. My 2018 iPad Pro was supported up until iPad OS 26, incredibly long run. Maybe due to so many businesses relying on it for field sales forces that they were obligated to support it 🤷‍♂️.
